Lumia 920 wont filter contacts with Cyan update

Hi,

Now I have updated to Cyan (I don't understand the difference between this and 8.1)

Since the update all my contacts show in my phone book. No matter how I filter the list, for example if I show Facebook contacts I see Facebook contacts and if i hide them I STILL see Facebook contacts, does anyone know how I can fix it.

Also where are the Live Folders and how to they work?

not sure about the first issue, but live folders as far as I know isn't part of Cyan, its part of 8.1 DP GDR1

OK, what is 8.1 DP GDR1 and is it coming to the Lumia 920?

Cyan is a firmware update for Nokias (go to settings and Extras_info and there it'll tell you if you are on Black or Cyan) as for 8.1DP GDR1, DP means it's the developer preview. GDR 1 is the latest version of the OS, which you'll need the DP to install at the moment.

you need to sign up for developer preview and wait for them to resolve the current partitioning issue that is affecting 920s, then you'll be able to install it

I don't have Facebook so I apologize in advance if this sounds stupid. Did you try turning on "Hide contacts without a phone number"?

Thanks, but I've done that, but still has loads of contacts who do have a phone number, who I want on Facebook, but not on my phone!

 

[switch side method]

You have to go to hotmail then settings then filter out which numbers you don't want shown such as facebook. All your numbers are stored in hotmail so its there you have to go in the settings. Hope that helps
