Lumia 930 inaccessible after upgrade to W10M

WPCentral Question

Hi folks,

yesterday evening I decided I wanted to give W10M a spin on my Lumia 930. So I got into the Windows Insider slow ring, downloaded the update and installed W10M. Everything went super-smooth and before going to sleep I played a little with settings and apps. Before plugging the phone to the power and putting it down I downloaded a map for HERE. Today in the morning I wake my phone by double tapping and none of the navigation buttons work. I send it to sleep, wake it back up, still none of the navigation buttons work but now even none of the side buttons (power, volume, camera) work... The screen is unresponsive... Now it went to sleep again there is zero possibility to access my phone. When I call myself the calling phone hears the usual beep, but the WP stays black and quiet.

To top it all off, Windows Recovery Tool recognises my phone but gives an error during download of the software package... Nokia Recovery states I am to use Windows Recovery. I am running out of ideas here, someone got a clue how to fix this? Feedback would be most welcome! Thanks!

Try a Soft Reset. Hold the Volume Down + Power buttons until the phone vibrates and reboots (about 10 seconds).

If that does not solve things move on to a Hard Reset. Power off the phone >hold Volume Down > press Power > keep holding Volume Down until you seethe exclamation (!) screen, then immediately release the Volume Down

Now tap Volume Up / Volume Down / Power / VolumeDown

You should see the spinning gears and your phonewill reflash the last OS version held in recovery. You do loose data, but getyour phone back. Sign into your Microsoft Account and restore your backupduring the set up.
