Lumia MicroSD Expansion slots.

I feel strongly that every single Lumia or Lumia class phone manufactured in the future must have an expansion card slot. I am a camera phone enthusiast but my 1020 has no micro SD slot. Sure everyone is saying cloud but not being able to store my phone is really restricting. Plus I am now having to remove apps to make room. What say you, MicroSD slot standard on all Lumia class devices?

Hello, you make a valid point However I think we already discussed this once on the forums lol
If I remember correctly the overall feeling was, including mine, that MS should make phones with and without sd slots.
The choice should be left to the buyer We should always have a choice

Okay, cool, missed that one, but what happens if the only phone with all the specs you are looking for has no slot, like water happened with me and the 1020? So sad.

I agree. I have a lumia 1520 for a month and its already full almost. SD card is a god send. How the 1020 didn't have this is unreal, esp when the camera pics takes more memory then other lumia's due to the file size of the pics

I know nothing of MS internal dealings so this is just a guess... I'm guessing the cry for SD slots just wasn't considered that urgent.. Also we have to remember that wp7 had a major security flaw, but MS fixed that on 8.0.. Eventually apps were sandboxed! Which to me was a brilliant idea.. Only afterwards could MS consider the addition of SD cards since adding them would not mean that we could bypass the security measures and install apps that aren't approved by MS.. This is just my view so it might be wrong lol

I'm in the same boat. I am looking to upgrade from a 520 to something with a bigger screen but no expansion slot is a huge deal breaker for me.I now store all my Apps,Music,Pics and Videos on SD card
Even my 520 has expansion to 64 GB, Another deal breaker is removable battery. I just went camping for a week with no ability to charge and I use my phone for all my music.
I really love Windows Phone and Nokia makes great phones but I will probably looking at another manufacture to get my Windows phone experience.
