Mail & Calendar has stopped working

I have Lumia 640xl & the last couple of days i haven't been able to access mail & calendar, luckily i also have a 950xl which at the moment is my main phone. Has the software for the older phone stopped giving support?, as we know windows phone will soon be obsolete.

It should still be working, even if it was fully abandoned today. What is exactly going wrong? I would sooner expect a bug with Windows 10 Mobile itself rather than a backend problem - especially since it still works on your 950.
