It seems the spigot is finally totally opened.

It?s gone well. So today we?re fully opening the spigot ?slightly ahead of schedule?and making Mango available to nearly everyone in the current delivery pool

Granted the 1.3 and DVP are still in testing but this is much faster then I had expected. Hopefully those waiting on the notification will start seeing them soon.

From the sounds of that article, it looks like they might be releasing bug fixes...that would be awesome =D

Perhaps they have located the disappearing keyboard bug that some have reported, I wonder what else , if anything, will be hidden in these:

One last thing. Next week we’ll start delivering some model-specific “firmware” from handset makers, so don’t be alarmed if you receive an additional update notification on your phone. These updates are designed to activate new Windows Phone 7.5 features or improve your phone’s performance. Not everybody will receive or require one: It all depends on your country, carrier, and phone model.

A good thought from Mobility Digest

So it sounds like some radio or drivers but more likely it will unlike internet sharing and visual voicemail based on your carrier.

I had forgotten about those already. (I'm sure the author meant unlock not unlike)

All told I think it took me about an hour, but it will vary person to person depending how much media is on your phone when the backup occurs.
