Marking message as unread on WhatsApp?

If I mark a read message as unread, will the sender see it as unread or not?
 
If you're sending messages to a person who disabled this feature you won't be able to see blue ticks when they receive your messages, all you'll get are the double grey ones to show it was delivered.
