Just saw this link on GSMArena. <redacted>

<edit> If you go to the article originally linked and click on "VIA" for the source it leads back to Windows Central and the excellent article posted here by Daniel Rubino so I will supply that link instead. http://www.windowscentral.com/microsofts-committed-windows-10-mobile </edit>

May be windows mobile will bounce back and land a sucker punch on its competitors or may be we are waiting for the light which will nevver come . Who knows ?

I don't think that this strategy will result in a significant increase in market share, and I don't think that market share is a prime aim for Microsoft; the only thing for Microsoft is that the hardware sales turn a profit.

The key directive for Microsoft is Windows 10 and supporting that across multiple device platforms.

With the success of the Surface line of laptops, and Windows powered laptops/tablets/hybrids, Microsoft is hoping that app developers will take notice and produce apps for the largest OS platform.

OP updated to supply Windows Central link. The piece originally linked refers back to Daniel Rubino's article as the source and contains no new or differing information...
