Messaging apps battery usage

I was wondering what's the battery usage of the most common messaging apps, like whatsapp, viber, telegram and so on. I noticed that whatsapp drains my battery a lot, maybe too much, as almost 40% of total battery usage is related to it.

Are other apps like that?

I don't use Viber heavily, but I do use it daily and it takes up less battery (in Battery Saver, WP8.1) than Skype, IE11 and the Messaging app
