had same issue ... deleted facebook app and it works now ... am gonna try installing it again

it breaks it again. Ive tried with every update.

Personally i just get by with the people, me, and various other hubs ive made to get Facebook stuff, that way i get chat.

tried all sorts of things ..even deleted facebook from the phone accounts and added again but no luck. This sucks!

Yeah its the actual app.

Just delete it, it sucks anyway and you can more than get by with how awesomely the os deals with social networks.

Seriously, just make hubs for the people you care about and use the people hub for everything else.
