Microsoft Edge lagging and freezing

I use the edge app a lot and everyone in a while my phone will lag when I try to scroll, or just lock up causing me to hard rest my phone or wait 30 minuets to an hour or more for me to be able to use it again. Ive gone though the settongs as best i could and cleand history, cache, and stopped background apps from going and it still didn't fix it. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how can I fix it?

Hey YamiMun,

Have you actually hard reset your phone? If you pressed the Volume down and power button together for 12 seconds till the phone vibrates, then that's a soft reset. Hard reset can be done via settings or you can also do it using the tool WDRT (Windows Device Recovery Tool) from your PC.

Look at my comment here if you want to use WDRT which will definitely improve your phone. If even that doesn't help, then you might be having some hardware issue.

Yes I have. I've done many soft rests and hard resets. I even did factory reboot and it still does it.

mine crashes 30-45 secs after opening. this is with build 16199. i already tried reinstalling edge using tutorials over the internet. looking forward to a new build that will fix this

Mine worked fine for everything except epub reading. it would show a couple of pages and then act as if there were no more pages. And on PC, with insider build 16215, it crashes A LOT. it would try to load a page and then show the error that we tried reloading this page a few times and it didn't work. or it would just carry on loading the error page and hang. What's wrong with it???
