Microsoft is working on a smaller Surface Pro and Surface Laptop with Snapdragon X

Good news for those of us that love the Surface Go form factor but cringe at its performance and battery life. What I have wanted since the 11" iPad Pro was introduced was a Windows device that size with a real desktop operating system. When docked you can use it as a desktop but the ultimate ultra portable tablet/laptop. Yes, I know, touch controls will be even more constrained in this form factor, but the real draw is a sub 2lb piece of kit for all my needs. I hope they don't cripple it like Apple has neutered the iPad Pro.

and somehow the Qualcom powered Surface "Mini" (RIP 2014) has returned... kind of.

Very interested in the Surface Pro "Mini". The efficient Intel Lunar Lake SoC (x86) would have been epic - including for gaming, but I can deal with it being Qualcom (ARM) gaming aside.

As for Zac's exclusive news on the podcast - I'm thrilled about it, he's not.

This has long been needed. The Surface Pro is too heavy to be a tablet. It is almost 2 pounds. I would not buy a Windows on ARM computer though since I'm into music production. ASIO drivers and DAWs are just beginning to work on ARM.
