Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter: Issue with projected aspect ratio/resolution

[Windows Central Question]

So, I upgraded the firmware because I thought it would help with the performance issues I was having.

It did, but now projects at strange aspect ratios, and it doesn't fill the 1080p tv, (app allows scaling, but not independently v/h)

I have the same issue from multiple windows 10 laptops
It displays correctly when connected to android phones.

Any idea what the issue is, or how I can solve it?
