Hi!

I am trying to help a friend choose a tablet. He wants it most for web browsing, but he also wants to be able to play a little bit Minecraft on it, if possible. So if someone that has a VivoTab Smart or Acer Iconia Tab W510 could test Minecraft on it and see if it works, it should be very nice. It meets the system requirements easily, but will it be very laggy?

I think Vivotab could play Minecraft, but Minecraft itself requires 2GB of RAM and that's all this tablet has, so it most likely won't run very well!

that's just bloated. If Minecraft can run on a iPod touch with 512Mb of ram, there is no reason it can't on Windows 8.

Except the windows PC version is non native code and relies on that bloated buggy security risk of a programming language called JAVA.

Nice! :) He has bought the Asus Vivotab Smart now, but it's about the same specs, so it should work on that one too :D

wow, thats impressive if you can get minecraft running on an atom. I tried loading deus ex (the original from 1999) on my hp envy x2 and could barely get 10fps on lowest settings. Yes I know its an old game so that could be why it ran so slow, but the gpus on the atoms are pretty terrible, especially when you compare them to their arm counterparts...
