Hi all,

With Windows 8.1 close on the horizon I am very keen on investigating Miracast, both as a way of removing the long HDMI cable I currently have trailing across the room and as a way of connecting both my Lenovo Yoga and hopefully Surface 2 to the same monitor.

However, its important to me that, whilst connected to Miracast, I can still remain connected to my WiFi network. I have tried looking but cant find any information as to whether this is possible given Miracast obviously needs use of the WiFi adapter - can anyone confirm whether you can remain connected?

If you can't remain connected to a Wi-Fi network, it seriously reduces the usefulness of Miracast :( and I'm sure not going to shell out ?60 for an adapter if its going to turn out to be useless to me...

I am about 95% sure that you still will be able to use WiFi
