Missing camera

After updating to the os on my nokia lumia 521, i no longer have my camera. When I hit the camera button it says loading and returns me to the menu. Tried camera reset in system applications and it does nothing at all. It says Microsoft camera is my default. Can someone help?

Back up your data, do a soft reset or do a factory reset to iron out the bugs?

Have you tried using a different camera app such as Lumia camera?
