Mobile site doesn't display on 920

Whenever I browse to WPCentral on my 920 I get the full desktop site, in all its unwieldy glory for a 4.5" screen. The new design is already very resource heavy, even for my Core-i7 laptop. You can imagine how terrible it is on a phone. Is anyone else experiencing this? My IE settings are on mobile and that makes no difference. I usually use the app to browse, but the occasional internet search takes me to the browser and it's a pain to use. Is there a way to fix this?

Try clearing your cache. We've been pushing new files to the site, you may have some outdated files on your device!

The site is still slow and unresponsive though, both on the desktop and mobile. It takes seconds for taps and scrolls to register and it makes it pain to use.
