Modern UI Spotify App

Has anyone heard any news regarding a modern UI app for Windows 8.1? Windows 8 has been out for a YEAR AND A HALF now..... and not a SINGLE word on development. Not to mention the WP app hasn't been updated since Summer 2013. I'm beginning to think Spotify really dislikes Microsoft.

My guess and this is only a guess. Since the new release of the WP app is soon maybe the other one is not too far off?

you should check out Xbox Music. You get 10 hours a month of streaming a month for free for any Windows 8/8.1/RT user (when Windows 8 first came out, they gave people 6 months to try it out). I got a deal on the year subscription price ($50?). totally worth it. I can download an unlimited amount of songs (well, limited by your storage space of course) for offline playback. I have unlimited streaming. I have an unlimited cloud collection as well (curated by yourself. and the app just keeps getting better and better.

Xbox Music is accessible from other devices as well (iOS, Android).

Xbox music does not even compare to Spotify. On android IOS Spotify is free but not the case with Xbox music and Spotify for windows phone. The platforms with the most users gets the most support.
