More Powerful Surface Pro 3 or Surface Pro 4

Which of these two would be the better buy and why?

I want to upgrade my SP3 (preferably to the 4) but I can only get the core m sp4. So it thought why not get the i5 SP3 & just purchase the new keyboard and pen? Which of these two would be more powerful?
