I have been searching for some usefulness for Wallet on YouTube, here and Bing for my 1020. I really dont see much to do with it. I can't add my grocery store or CVS cards, travel cards etc. Just my credit card and MS card for store purchases. Missing something??

I believe the problem is that special secure SIM cards are required, and the US carriers don't offer them.

Actually I have my walgreens reward card in my wallet, as well as AMC theatres and I know a few airlines are supported. It seems to be limited by businesses setting up support.

I just use the Walgreens app, since I mainly use Walgreens to order prints of my pictures.

How did u load the airlines??

It's convoluted... you have to install the airline's app, and then there's a "save to wallet" icon on some of them. So really, the wallet for many of these things doesn't introduce "new" functionality, but allows you to have a single place to access the info. On pretty much all I've seen, it launches into the partner's app when you click them from the wallet.

Generally speaking, it's not just a WP problem, NFC payments are seriously screwed up in the U.S. Apple Pay is starting to make some headway but several retailers won't even support it so they can offer their own proprietary system, CurrentC. And with Microsoft having little leverage in the NFC market, expect Wallet to just kinda linger there for a while.

I guess relief wasn't too far away. I haven't used the app so I'm not sure if Wallet integrates into Softcard.
