Multitasking

Yep that is so true even on full pcs!

Hopefully Firefox 40 or 41 runs just as smooth. From what I seen from the nightly it does but I can't be sure.

I use spartan (edge) most of the times on my 2gb surface 3 running W10 insider preview because it runs much smoother than Firefox or Chrome..
So how has your experience been with the W10 preview running Edge on the S3? Given the upcoming release of W10 next month, the discussion of different browsers as it relates to RAM and processing power may soon have another configuration to include.

So the Surface 3 outperforms laptops with processors from 2008? That's not saying much.

It considering that the whole SoC in the Surface 3 consumes 95% less power, doesn't require a fan for cooling, fits inside of a unit that is thinner and lighter than the thinnest and lightest ultrabook/netbook from 2008 (or even 2013), drives a 1920X1200 display, has loads of technology in the pen input, and lasts all day on a single charge. Besides, CPU performance gains over the last 5 years have been marginal at best. CPU increases in efficiency are a different story and that's really where Intel has put a lot of their focus.

Has anyone tried the metro version of Chrome? you can switch to it in the chrome settings.

how is mulittasking in windows phone 10 ? is it different from win8.1 phone ? and do notifications come in timely ?

I use it and I think so, I believe it is much faster than the IE Metro version. I am not sure about the resource side but I do not recall noticing any slowdown.
