MUSIC thru USB port

Is it the phone (Nokia) or the Window Phone 8 software that will not allow me to play music through the USB port at the bottom of the phone?

you mean into docks and stuff or cars? I'd be interested to know too if there is such a thing.

It won't dock. Music only through aux port.
Where did you read you could do that??

You can play audio via USB. It had worked with multiple cars I have been in. Only thing you can't do is play protected content. IE music from Xbox music etc and Audible. Stupid limitation ad due yo it I have been using Bluetooth almost exclusively.

Yes you can. But only handful of the car systems can read WP8 as a hard drive.
