I know that MS is separating the music and video apps from the OS itself, and having standalone apps for each of these, but does that mean the music + video hub will be absent from 8.1? I really like the way the hub works currently. I play music from many different sources, audio cloud, myTube, the music app itself, and I like how it shows me recently played songs. It's such a quick way to play recently played songs, regardless of app. I really like this feature. I also like how it shows my recently added items. I have a few music podcasts that download weekly, and I can just slide over to recently added section and quickly at-a-glance see if any new podcasts downloaded etc.

So does anyone know for sure if they hub is going to be completely removed? Does anyone else love the hub as much as I do?

I do believe it's being removed. I wouldn't be surprised if the video and music apps are also updated with more functionality. So you may get the features you want still.

I like the current Music + Video too. I know it is going to change, but wish it wasn't.
