640/640xl is a meh like most will say 'its just another windows phone,nothing special'.
Project Spartan was a good news though but not that exciting anymore since everyone was already talking about it.

Was kinda hoping for GDR2 on PFD, after hearing 640 will launch with it. Guess we'll see...

Also I genuinely miss the time when Nokia used to announce new apps, new exclusive things at every announcement. Now it's just announcement for the sake of it. No new apps, no new features.

Microsoft said 'Mobile computing and cloud computing are our prior goal'. The latter is true with Cortana, office, calendar syncing across all devices. But I really doubt with the former one. It seems PCs, surface hub and Holo lens are their prior things.

The best moment for Windows Phone was the Lumia 920. Later, the Lumia 520 created a lot of buzz because It seemed that WP could take off. Since then everything has been mostly disappointment.

Would have to agree, with the release of the 920/820/1020 WP grew to about 5% market share. Things have not been good since then. The 640/640XL looks interesting. Right specs at right price.
