My Dell Venue 8 pro screen turns off even when sleep settings are altered to never, what could the problem be?

Everytime I use my dell venue 8 pro to stream music in the background, it will stream for about 10-15 minutes, and then EVERY time the screen turns off. The computer is not turning off, and I don't think it is going into sleep mode. I am able to re-login very quickly and get right back to the streaming media.

I have checked the Sleep Settings and it is set to sleep at 1 hour on battery and while plugged in. So it cannot be that. its almost like it is a screen saver type thing that kicks in and screws it up.

Please let me know if you know how to fix. Please dont tell me "oh just fix the sleep settings."

Having the same problem and it just started after I foolishly allowed it to download new firmware. Wondering if there's something in the BIOS, because I've turned off every option in Windows 8... no screen saver, no power saving, no lock screen.

I've been dealing with this since Windows 8.1 and even on Windows 10. Dell insists that their team has never found a single problem with the tablet. Except for when they release a new BIOS, then they admit that there are problems they had to fix. I've been dealing with them for months. We never get anywhere. It's infuriating. I don't know why it happens but they insist that reinstalling 8.1, updating all display drivers and then going or not going to Win10 fixes it. I couldn't get my tablet to be recativated to 8.1 after restoring a version of Windows they sent me on a USB stick and now that they've made me lose Win10 to go back to 8.1, they won't help me anymore because activation is a MS problem.
...oh well. I think this sleep problem is simply a Dell problem they don't want to fix.
