My Family blocking me from downloading things?

I just got a Lumia 735 and tried to get an app. It informed me that I need a parent to set up My Family even though I am registered as an adult account on My Family. I found some FAQs that suggested it was because my account info was not fully filled, but even after I filled in the rest of my account's info, the message still blocked me.

You can create a fake account to pose as your "parent" which would work, which is what I did.
