I'm sending my laptop back to ASUS again. The same problem that was fixed in March happened again. It's completely dead and won't turn on. Nothing lights up at all.

Dang, Laura, you bully..... what are you doing to these poor things? Making them drink coffee through their keyboard? Playing catch with the laptop with your wall? Letting the neighbors dog chew away?

Hope this works out and they do right by you. Never had an Asus. It's weird, but I keep coming back to HP and no one else but me has any luck with them. Just had a Lenovo which everyone raves about, and I found it to be canon fodder. Just a freezing-up, websites not working right mess.

Is this the laptop you do most of your moderating from? Do you have a spare?

You strike me as the type of person who has a spare.....

I've never had any other computers need warranty work before.

I have an ancient Toshiba running Linux and an HP with a bad graphics card. Toshiba is 9 years old. HP is 6 years old. I bought the ASUS, since the
HP wasn't worth repairing.

I haven't had that many problems with Asus but I know they're one of those companies that only make their products to more or less withstand their warranties and then die. Hope you are able to get a brand new replacement!

I posted on AndroidCentral earlier. One guy says he hasn't heard anything bad about ASUS and has a family member with an ASUS laptop that is 5 years old (and still running fine with Vista).

Replacements are just refurbs that have been repaired for whatever reason and may have other issues.

ASUS sent me a replacement this time. Hopefully this will be the end of my computer issues.
