I am pay as you go and abroad at the moment

You normally have to contact your carrier prior to going abroad to let them know you want to use your mobile abroad. Check their website out and see if they can do it online.

Purchase a local SIM for your time there. Pay as you go plans don't seem to be set up for international travel.

Get a new sim card..mine did the same 3-4 months back and I had to change the sim card . now it never goes out of service

A new SIM let you keep your service when traveling to another country on a pay-as-you-go plan?
