Most of this is my opinion and speculation so take this with a grain of salt. But based on decisions made and what Satya Nadella and other heads have said this is what I think may happen or should happen with Microsoft and it's divisions.
Xbox: With the Entertainment Studios becoming null and void, and more of a strong embrace of gaming within the division here is what I think. 1. A strong embrace of the Japanese market. I know this might be a pipe dream for most Xbox gamers. But PlayStation 4 is Sony's only revenue Generator for Sony besides it's movie division. Nintendo is just living off Mario and Zelda. Scalebound an ID @ Xbox may help with some of that. But considering acquiring Capcom and working with Sega/Sammy on exclusive Japanese Titles like the rumored Shenmue three may make it better. 2. Don't let Sony rub exclusive add on's Microsoft's face like what was done with Bungie's Destiny. 3. Find some way to have old Xbox or Xbox 360 Games played on Xbox one. Through emulation or cloud stream like Sony will do with Playstation Now. 4. Make Xbox music less of a subscription service and have it be like Itunes, Amazon, or Google play. Where you can by a song and stream it through one drive and put song's you already have in that Xbox music/one drive playlist. 5. Only have Microsoft developed mobile games be Xbox powered. For example EA needs to make games on windows/windowsphone like what Disney and Gameloft make currently. Also Microsoft is making a good decision by bringing Xbox mobile games to ios, and Android not just Windows. 6. Bring windows apps to Xbox one (no brainer).
Lumia and Surface: 1: Do what you can to keep the Nokia name. Even pay Nokia networks 12 years from now to keep the name. Put the Nokia name on surface for crying out loud. 2. Keep the infamous Nokia ringtone on the Lumia smartphones I mean the only other hardware company that has their own tones is Apple. 3. Bring back ngage as a major competitor to PSVita and Nintendo ds (I know I should have put this under Xbox but ngage was a Nokia cellphone hardware thing, which Microsoft now owns).
Windows: 1. Make any form of windows as user friendly as possible. 2. Teach more people how to use live tiles.
Office: Move this more to the net like what Google is doing.
Bing Maps: Give Nokia's here networks more control over this. The service should be sold to here.
Finally: Unlike Google and other companies Microsoft needs to keep names of what it owns different: I.E. Skype, Nokia, Xbox, Windows, Bing, E.T.C. No sign of the name Microsoft stamped anywhere on them.
