My search 'charms' menu changed unexpectedly

So, normally when I swipe from the right I get the search menu open. It has the magnifier glass, and the list of my apps. Well I just sent an app to my phone via my PC using windowsphone.com for the first time, and now the search menu has blue alphabet boxes and its categorized, like in the phones contact list/facebook friends search etc. Don't get me wrong, I actually like it, but has anyone else had this happen all of the sudden?

Yes. This is normal. If you have more than 45 apps installed. The alphabetical list shows up
