Hello, My laptop (VAIO SVE15127 CA) losses the internet connection as soon as I move away from the source even in the same room.
I'm running the latest version of win10, slow ring.

can you try to reset the router and also removing the network from the pc and then adding it back again?

How old is your device?

Could it be that you have a combined wifi and Bluetooth card or chip in your laptop? If so, often you can find that there is only one aerial in there and they both share it. Try turning off Bluetooth completely, that could well transform your wifi connection.

Are you using any USB3 devices on your laptop? Or even a USB2 device plugged into a USB3 port? USB3 puts out an unholy amount of RF interference due to the spec being poorly designed, and that can and does interfere with any 2.4GHz signal near by. Unplug everything from the USB3 system on your laptop and try again. Of course, 5GHz networking dodges this problem but is not a reasonable work-around in many situations.

Just some ideas. Of course, checking out firmware and driver update possibilities is a given.

Looks like hardware issue. How easy would be to replace Wi-Fi card in your laptop?? You can get 802.11ac Intel fairly cheap this days...

Drivers for the wireless usually come as EXE installer. All you have to do is just double click and voila. Drivers should be available in the download section of the vendor support website. Looking at the attached image in the earlier post you already have them downloaded... There are no special tools needed...

Not very easy at all, if the laptop has a white list system for instance. Lenovo likes to do this, FYI. Also, many laptops (especially of the ultrabook variety) are not easy to open up and exchange components.

Precisely the reason why I was asking if this is possible the easy way... And Ultrabooks are not laptops, if I can't open it and play with internals it is a bad product

If you can open it, replacing the wifi module will be a matter of accessibility and finding an acceptable module that will work. I personally like my HP laptop. Purchased the model I have last year with a panel that gives accessibility to the hard drive (now has a SSD with the hard drive in an external closure), RAM, and wifi module. For consumer lines this is getting increasingly hard to find. I like HP because they actually provide full guides in how to take apart the laptop.
