My windows phone fell into some water a few days ago, should I be losing hope?

I dropped my phone in some water about 3 days ago. Took it out straight away and got a bag of rice for it. Wasn't able to take it apart but I got it into the rice as fast as I could. Later in the night I put the phone into a box with rice and have since put it into a zip lock bag to ensure it's fully covered. Phone has been taken apart SIM card was grand and still working. I still have hope it will work. It did vibrate when I tried charge it yesterday but nothing on the screen so have just left it with the rice now. Is hope lost?

If it hasn't come back on and in working order I wouldn't hold out much hope. I had a phone in water a few years ago and got it working but never worked right since. I ended up just getting a new one.

Key point is taking battery out first. If it was salt water, not much hope.
