Need help for ps3

Got a used PS3 from outer reaches of my family along with a power a controller that looks an Xbox 360 but can't sync it and the controller doesn't have an USB port

I don't have an Xbox controller I have a ps3 powera controller that just looks like a Xbox 360 controller that use 3 AAA batteries.
