network selection in sim settings

It seem like my 1520.3 sometimes loses data connection and takes a bit before it syncs up to working again. I am on AT&T GoPhone and when I set network selection to automatic and 4G for max setting when the phone loses LTE and goes to H or H+ data stops working for a bit till it gets back to LTE. It seems more stable when I set max to 3G to begin with. Now I been wondering about the network selection in sim setting if I change that from automatic to the carrier AT&T but when I search networks three AT&Ts come up two are duplicated so its confusing which one to set. I think leaving in automatic is to broad for the phone to be searching perhaps causing the issue. Thoughts?
