Sadly, it is very slow on the Redfly. And it's so hard to scroll down without the touchscreen. Skyfire was really made for grab and drag. It's a much better experience on the phone itself than on the Redfly, sorry to say. Maybe, it takes too much of the phone's processing power to make it full screen on the Redfly.

What phone are you testing with?

In order to support Skyfire on that size of screen you'd need a real beast of a phone. It's very demanding on system resources for smaller screens.

I just installed Skyfire 0.9.0.9151 on my ATT 8525 and then went to Redfly and found it to work quite well. Maybe because my 8525 is slow as well, I noticed no discernable difference in speed.
BTW - I love my Redfly for all the reasons everyone else does. I especially love it because when my wife and I are traveling, see can use the bigger screen (in place of a GPS) to find out way rathr than the 8525. Also, I've had my 8525 for almost 2 years and have found it to be still one of the best phones out there. No problems at all.

I've been using Skyfire with an HTC Touch HD and my Redfly, and I agree with z, it's just too slow to be really practicle. It works, no doubt about it, but it takes some real patience.

Skyfire itself without the Redfly is fairly cool, and I recommend it for people who don't have Opera Mobile 9.5.
