new to Windows

Hi all, I'd like to introduce myself, I'm a BlackBerry person (BGK on Crackberry) who has finally read the writing on the wall (Android is not for me) and decided on moving to a Windows phone, most likely the Lumia 950 or 950XL. I'm busy reading what people have to say about the Lumia and since I have an HP Envy laptop with Windows 10, I thought I'd stick with it for my new cellphone as well. Looking forward to learning lots about these very cool phones. Cheers :smile:

Welcome aboard! Don't have the 950 series, I'm on a 1520. If I was getting a new one, I'd probably get the 950XL. Both seem like great phones.

I've also used 520 and 530. My experience with Lumias and WP has been that no matter the range (low to high), they all run well.

If you want to just get your feet wet real quick and are in the US, check out the $30 Lumia GoPhone at Walmart.com. Put the Insider App on there and go for the Release Preview. Very stable way to get Windows 10 Mobile so you can start evaluating the OS.

Welcome, BGK! I agree with Rhapdog. An Hp Elite x3 might be the perfect compliment for your HP Envy laptop.

Just my initials, Bonnie is my first name, I made the mistake years ago on crackberry when I joined and just quickly put my initials in and have regretted it since lol. When I joined with windows central, I thought I'd corrected that but it grabbed info and I'm still BGK here too.

So imma agreeing with RumoredNow and rhapdog.. The X3 is a sweet phone and would compliment your laptop, but if you simply want to test out WP fist before fully committing, that GoPhone is the way to go
