Sup guys. I'm Stephen, from Belgium. I just got this new Lumia 635 after years of (old) Nokia's and a couple years with Android. Been using it since Monday.
I had doubts about getting it because it didn't have a camera flash and lacks the main apps and games I used with Android (like f.e. Tapped Out and my mobile bank apps). I went ahead and got it anyway 'cause it looks nice, was basically free, together with a 2 year subscription. So I got a few questions, don't know if this is only in 8.1 though:

- How to I get the button to switch my LTE connection on/off on the startscreen? I've seen it on a lot of you guys' startscreen and really miss it since having this option with Android.
- Why is the camera button on the bar on top of the screen highlighted? Why is it even there anyway?
- I got standard 'Maps' (from Microsoft I suppose?) and 'Here' maps. They look a lot a like and use the same map data I downloaded. Which one is better?

That's it.. for now :winktongue:

Thanks!

Hello!

You can't get a direct toggle, but you can get a link to the cellular settings, look in the store for apps such as Connectivity Tiles (assuming my memory serves me right)

Well, I don't know why, why not?

I prefer HERE, but I'm not too familiar with the differences.

Camera button is up there as a quick launch for devices without a dedicated physical camera button.

Thanks guys. About camera button, I don't have a problem with it being there, but why is it highlighted all the time? Like the bluetooth or wi-fi buttons, they're black until you tap them. The camera is always "on".

We don't know, probably just a design touch or oversight, or the camera is just always ready to go!

I've added a MP3 ringtone to the Ringtones map on my phone (not SD card) through OneDrive. It's definitely in the map, but I can't use it anywhere; not for my text tone, call tone, ... It doesn't pop up in the list when I want to change a ringtone. What am I doing wrong?

I have had the same issue even though I followed the MSFT instructions correctly.
