plunged in my band 2 to charge and update Microsoft health and was notified of a new update. Low and behold 3 new features the Microsoft development team appear to be hard at work. Keep up the good work guys

I got a new update notification last night (June 8). This brought me up to firmware version 2.0.4739.0, but according to the update history found here, the last firmware update was May 17 with version 2.0.4634.0.

Is there any word on what the new update contains? "What's new" is still showing the same 3 items from the previous update: Compete against custom profiles, Get out and explore with the Explore tile, and Microsoft Health app for Windows 10.

Edit: Nevermind since this was answered while I was typing up my post. I guess I overlooked the story on Windows Central's main page.

When I hit the whats new on my band 2 there are 3 new features 1-track your heart rate zones 2-cortana is now usable on Band 2 3-explore is here build number 2.0.4739.026R

I just checked my Store app and it shows that it ran into an error updating the Microsoft Health app update. I just ran the update, but the "What's new" section from the app itself didn't change. From the Band, it is just showing the heart rate zones and Explore, which were from the May 17 update.

My understanding is that the update was bug fixes, nothing new. Heart rate zones came in an earlier update.

Can anybody confirm that phone tracking is working again. With the update from 4/6 phone tracking data was not syncing and it was only band tracking left (had to roll back by one version on phone back to ~17/5).

Battery life (of the phone) was terrible, so maybe the most recent update fixed an issue with Bluetooth. My wife claims battery life on her 735 improved after the update.
Note: Last weekend we received the Win10 update on Verizon's 735.

Oh so they did change something. I've been using microsoft health on my mom's 640, just for step counter, no band. Now she complaining nothing is getting tracked.

I have had nothing but problems with my band since the update.
Battery drain to the point of thing it was dead, had to leave it on charger all night to bring back - even then it doesn't last all day any more. I have to carry the cable with me to charge before doing anything draining on the unit.
Notifications seem to have stopped working. Or at least so sporadic I can no longer depend on it to keep me up to date and have to check my phone like the old days.
Syncing is not working every time, it has a hard time finding unit, the sync bar goes half way across phone then stops moving.
I have reset the Band 2 to factory start, I have reset my phone (950 XL) to factory start. It helped a little but still many issues, I am used to using and depending on this unit for all day every day use. For notifications, exercise and GPS rides, sleep alarm. I need to have confidence in it without frustration - like I used to have before the update.

This seems to me more than just an update problem. I've got all the updates, no change to battery life, everything still seems like it should. Syncing happens without issue, etc. Is there a possibility that the battery connection problem of the early release bands is showing up on your system?

With the 8/6 update phone tracking is still not syncing and not working...Only band.

My Band 2 is currently in transit to have a warranty replacement by mail. My phone still counts my steps using the SensorCore, but the caveat to seeing the data update is that it doesn't appear to automatically sync in the background without a Band connected to the phone. I have had to manually trigger the synchronization each time.

I'm using a Lumia 640 XL, and this holds true for both the official 10586.410 OS version and the Redstone 14367 build that I just installed last night after choosing to participate in the Insider program again.

When I first installed it on my mom's 640, I had the menu option My Phone... it's currently not appearing as an option at all.

When I open the health app, I see 0 steps. Are you saying another step is needed to say sync?

If "My Phone" isn't showing up as a menu option, I'd say make sure Motion Data is turned on from the phone settings, and that Microsoft Health is allowed to use motion data. If that doesn't help, you might try reinstalling the app.

The manual synchronization mentioned in my previous post is completed by tapping the icon above the menu with the circling arrows indicated in my screen shot below.

I am using android 4.4.4 and when initialize manual sync for phone motion data - it tries to sync, but phone is left not synced. If disable band's bluetooth and try to sync phone - it is not synced, only get message that band not found.
