Hey guys!

I bought a Lumia 930 locked to EE UK and just had it network unlocked. I had 4g working on EE but now its not working on the new network. There is 4G in the area, and the phone supports the band. The carrier suggests and update although none are available. In the settings it still says "Mobile Operator: ORG-GB" which I'm assuming is EE (orange) who haven't deployed the latest update yet... Is there a way to update the carrier?

Thanks for any help guys! 😁

I think that the setting you're describing is the originating operator for the phone, not your current operator (so that any future updates will be released when Orange-EE approve updates). The only way to set that to the carrier agnostic 000-GB would be to load another firmware.

You've not mentioned what operator you've moved on to, you may need them to issue you a new SIM card.

Thanks for your reply. Throughout the day I've noticed it jump to 4G for a few seconds and back again. Strange as someone else on the same network, in the same place and on a very similar Lumia (spec wise, inc. Radios etc.) gets a signal fine. Blaaah 😝 lol

Might look into flashing the new firmware. EE are THEEEE slowest at pushing out updates.

Thanks again 😊
