Hello everyone,

I have noticed something strange, I had Windows 7 and I could get access to my gateway IP which is 192.168.1.254.

But when I upgraded to Windows 8.1 I couldn't , so I tried a lot of things like rebooting my router changing the DNS settings and all that.

So then I thought maybe Windows a 10 will fix that problem but it didn't so I even got a new router to see if it worked but it didn't too!

So I searched the web for hours trying to figure out what's the problem , so I found reseting the router would help so I did it and it worked for like 5 mins and then I couldn't have access no more.

So I need help about this what do I do?

Thanks in advance,

Sometimes you may not reach the wireless router IP address within the networking system. If this occurs there is something you need to consider. If the issue appears focus on the following.
One thing that can be done will be to reset the wireless router. Additionally, look at the power cables for possible damages. You may also verify whether you have hooked up everything properly.
The condition of network system wires is as well crucial. Check out if they are weakened or securely hooked up.
Restarting your computer resolves these complications generally in most situations. Looking at the connections could be considered as a vital step. The local area computer network may malfunction if they are defective.
It's also wise to examine the local area connection, whether it is enabled or disabled on your computer or another device.
From time to time your firewall software could potentially cause various troubles. Yes, a number of firewalls of the operating system may stop the function of the LAN connection and block up the IP Address. And so, you have to check the firewall software options.
In case you are on the network system where many switches and cables are installed, you must check out all the switches for possible damage. If one particular switch does not work correctly you will have severe network problems.
When you forget about your wireless router password you may have issues connecting to the networking system. Thus, having the router owner’s manual at hand is definitely a very important thing to do.
