No offline map for Japan

It is interesting that there is no offline map available for one of the most advanced places in the world. Tokyo, Japan.

This is/was true with most devices for a LOOOONG time. (not sure about google and apple maps) but even Dedicated, 3rd party GPS apps didn't have japan a few years back when I last used GPS on Android (I tried a few free and paid apps)

hoping with the increase of Japanese OEMS that offline maps hits bing maps soon (or atleast by September next year, when I go visit)

No offline maps might be a government regulation. In that case, we won't be seeing them soon.
