Is there anything wrong with buying a venue pro that has no warranty. I purchase mine from Newegg this past weekend apparently it was the last one because I see it sold out.
They did have a replacement warranty plan half price at $19.99 for 1 year which I did get so the total price was 239.99. The box seemed to be sealed and the phone had the plastic screen protector and on the bad as well. I still have that on for now. Also the accessories where sealed in plastic too. Firs/t thing I did was to charge the battery then I did updates via Zune. Date on the box 8/23/2011 Tmobile version and I am using an AT&T sim in it at this time being on Edge.

Nothing wrong with a device that works. You can also contact Dell to find out if there is still a manufacturer's warranty on it.

I just checked on Dell's web site and apparently there is a warrenty on it.

How is that going to work since I purchased from Newegg?

You can use either, I guess.

I just called Dell mobility support. First off I had to repeat everything twice I guess the call went to india. Anyway,
I was told that I could transfer the warranty to my name if I email an invoice and service tag to them. So I guess this is probably a good idea to do.

Good stuff. All compare the warranties and see which one covers or doesn't cover certain things.

I just did the same thing yesterday. A conversation that could have taken 5 minutes took me about 35 to complete.

Please be sure to check out my thread on transferring your DVPs ownership. If you don't do this for your used/refurb'd DVP, you won't have access to the remaining warranty on the device.
