Nokia account

I notice the mention of a 'Nokia account' in various places on my Lumia. Does anyone know what it's actually used for? Is there any benefit to creating one?

actually you dont, unless you want to load the playlist on multiple devices.
Nokia acc is like every other services that requires singup. It is an ID for you to sync fav in maps, playlist or music pass and probably any other services provided by Nokia in the future.
