Nokia camara under lock screen

I was taking a picture on my 1020 and realized the screen was locked. I had not been using the Nokia camera on my 920 because I thought it did not work under a locked screen. Is that new to 8.1 or was that fixed in some other update.

It was introduced with gdr2 update , one could have enabled default camera but in gdr3 they fixed an issue where user was prompted to enter password when opening Nokia camera. GDR3 + black update fixed this issue :smile:

Thanks, I did not realize that because was not using the Nokia app, but I just go a 1020 & 1520, so I wanted to use the Nokia app.

Go ahead and enjoy capturing photos with your awesome lumia 920. Go into phone settings and swipe right , tap on photos and camera and select your default lens(Nokia cam or default cam ) and now whenever you try to press the camera button when your phone is locked it will bypass your lockscreen passcode and open Nokia camera or default camera :smile:
