Nokia Lumia 2520 6 verticle magenta lines 5mm wide on screen

My Nokia Lumia 2520 started up one morning last week with 6 verticle magenta lines 5mm wide on screen. :crying:

I have had the unit since replacing it in December 2013. It reboots to the same screen. The windows button still vibrates but screen remains the same. When I pulled the SIM card and rebooted made center of screen have white section. Nokia/Microsoft is sending me a new one.

Any suggestions before I replace it?

Good suggestion. One issue is that this device can only refresh or reset through the software. Unfortunately since the black screen with verticle bars come up immediately at reboot, there is no way to use password to unlock to get to the settings....

Looks like the display or some connection along the way died, good to hear they're replacing it!

I didn't have similar lines but I had 2 lines that went up about 4 inches from the area around the Microsoft button. I took it into my local Microsoft store and they told me the LCD screen had cracked. My tablet was never dropped and sits on my nightstand as a bed/bathroom reader/surfer so I was besides myself at how it could have happened as I had it for less than 2 months. Anyhow, $50 later for my Complete deductible and they swapped it.

One of my friends has a 2520 and is now having display issues as well. I think with the goal to make these so thin and lightweight they are also flimsy.

Hey. I would like to buy a Lumia 2520 but don't want to commit to a contract. Is there any way I could use the tablet without a Sim Card?
