Nokia Lumia 920 sim card just quit working, how can I get it working?

nokia lumia 920 sim card just quit working

Nokia Lumia 920. Sim card out of no where quit working. Dropped phone a while back, but everything was still working fine. Had it in back pocket and pulled it out and it says "No Sim card"

1) Turn the phone off and on
2) Take the sim out, turn the phone off then on, leave for a few minutes. Turn off phone, insert sim then turn phone on again.

This happened to me recently which was bizarre as it worked in the morning.

It may be a coincidence however No 2 is what worked for me.
