Nokia Lumia 928 camera flash defect

So after this new update the camera has flash turned on no matter what I set the flash setting too... Flash gives me migraines and my cats hate it too so some help would be appreciated.

Make sure the focus assist light is turned off in the settings.

The reason that thing exists so as to make sure the phone focuses properly in low light before taking the actual shot, regardless of main flash setting.

That's fine except it wants to flash at everything in every light. Camera works fine without it.
