Interesting that when the phone was initially released, Nokia's websites listed Band IV in the specs for the phone. The specs originally listed were:

  • CDMA network bands: 2, 5
  • CDMA max data speed DL: Rev 0 /A 2.4 Mbps /3.1 Mbps
  • CDMA max data speed UL: Rev 0 /A 153.2 kbps /1.8 Mbps
  • GSM network: 1800 MHz, 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1900 MHz
  • GSM max data speed DL: EGPRS 236.8 kbps
  • GSM max data speed UL: EGPRS 236.8 kbps
  • LTE network bands: 4, 13
  • LTE max data speed DL: 100 Mbps
  • LTE max data speed UL: 50 Mbps
  • WCDMA network: 900 MHz, 1700 - 2100 MHz, 2100 MHz, 1900 MHz, 850 MHz
  • WCDMA max data speed DL: HSDPA - 42.2 Mbps
  • WCDMA max data speed UL: HSUPA - 5.76 Mbps

However on their websites now, the Band IV support has been removed.

I feel that whoever picked up this device is a bit unlucky, the phone uses an outdated processor and GPU.

I imagine WP and apps running smoothly but as soon as WP gets more apps that need more graphic and CPU power, this device will fail.

Lumia 930 is definitely a much better buy.

Try not to forget that these phones are being released a year apart. Most people here got their 928 when it was the best thing available on Verizon, before the Icon was released.

last year called, it wants 2 hang out with u!

Even for last year I still think why Microsoft used outdated processors when a plethora of newer processors existed even back then. :/

Sure, but Windows Phone doesn't require the resources that Android does. It can run just as well with not as good hardware. And sometimes it isn't about having the BEST device. The 928 released at $100, and swiftly went down to $50. Aside from several people reporting issues with the ear-speaker above the screen, the 928 is still an excellent phone a year later, especially at that price. I'm a long time Verizon customer, and I have a feeling that this will be my first Verizon phone that I comfortably use for two years until the end of my contract.

I got it for a buck a few months after release w/ 2yr contract plus I got ~35$ to blow on apps. So I got paid for my 928. Regardless, of hardware thoughts its been a good phone for me. No regrets!

well your 930 is outdated too, there is the snapdragon 801 and better GPU's with 4k video recording and slow-mo video, wp is always late to the hardware party as you can see, but we still shine brighter than those crappy cloned droids that spread like ****

Why does all the spec I found online said it has Bluetooth 4.0? It doesn't and won't detect my Fitbit Flex. So sad!
