Nokia Phone not finding correct microsoft account?

When I purchased a Lenovo tablet with windows 8 I set up an identical Microsoft account on both devices. Now the Nokia phone will only find another Microsoft account set up to access Skype (password not remembered) when I try to save things to Onedrive even though it shows the original account under names in my contact list. I am reluctant to reset my phone which is what microsoft recommend as nothing has been saved to Onedrive since this started.
Any ideas, please?
