Nokia rugged shell: where are they?

6 months has passed since Nokia introduced Lumia 820 and its rugerissed shells (Nokia Lumia 820 comes out of its shell ? Nokia Conversations : the official Nokia blog). As far as I know these shells are not available anywhere. I guess we will never see them. Any idea why Nokia scrapped the plan to make them? It seems to me that they were the perfect way to have a protected phone without using an external bulky case, and according to the comments in the Nokia Conversations page I am not alone thinking that...

I am waiting/wanting these in the US also. Hopefully will be released soon...my phone arrives today and I want orange!!!

Thanks for the product code!, now I could find the shells in a few places (Amazon uk, etc). Still, I am surprised that they are so hard to find in many countries 6 months after the phone's presentation. Almost as weird as the fact that Lumia 810 is lighter than its sibling, Lumia 820, but has a bigger battery. Did they put stones inside the 820, or what? he,he :-P

I managed to find ONE, and ordered it. To be honest, other than the slightly different styling and the edges wrapping very slightly around the corners of the phone, they're no different to the other Shells, same material it seems.

Good to know. Please let me ask some questions: In which shop/country did you find it? Could you post some photo of the front side of the phone using this shell? In your opinion, does it look uglier than the normal shell?

Thanks!

Got a green version of this rugged shell for the Lumia 820 earlier this week and love it. Bought it on Amazon in the UK. They also sell the yellow version. Couldn't find the orange version anywhere though. Really happy with the green though and the shell/case in general.
