Not able to charge in car?

Hello all, I have my old car charger that I used on my original Palm Pre. It is your standard 12V to micro USB plug in the car. It charged my HTC Trophy but I got the Lumia 928 in April and I haven't been able to charge it with this. I also tried plugging in a micro USB to USB cable to my car's USB port and it doesn't charge as well.

I own a 2011 Nissan Altima Coupe but I mean it shouldn't really matter right?

Do I need a specific charger?

Did you try with the cable you got with your phone?

I charge my 925 in the car (Nissan Note, not that it should matter) with a 1$ car->USB charger I got on dealextreme with some random cable that just seems to always be in the car, and beside that I charge it with various chargers and cables and they all work. Something is probably faulty. Did you try the cable you got with your phone? Does the old phone still charge normally?
